Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform and related services.
Preamble
Levah is a business management software of Northgaze Limited (“the Company” or “Northgaze”), a private limited liability company registered under the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is a software-as-a-service platform that helps small businesses manage their business operations, manage sales, expense and customer data.
Northgaze is a technology company. All banking and payment services are powered and provided by our licensed banking and payment partners. Anywhere the following words appear in this Privacy Notice - “We”, “Us”, “Our” and their variations - they refer to Northgaze Limited. “You”, “Your” and their variations are used in reference to our customers who use Levah.
Levah is a business-to-business platform. As a result, we have limited access to individual customers and their personally identifiable information. However, in the few cases that we collect and process personal data, this Privacy Notice contains the details of the kind of personal data we collect, the purpose for why we collect them, and other relevant information.

1.2. Apart from the purposes stated above, we also collect and process your data in order to send our marketing materials to you. You have the right to unsubscribe at any time.
1.3. Where you upload third-party data (e.g. your customers or staff data), you act as the data controller and we act as a processor on your behalf.
1.4. Please note that we do not collect nor store your debit or credit card details. All payments are made through our payment providers.
2. Your Rights as a Data Subject
By processing your data, you have the following rights that you can exercise by contacting us at hello@levah.co:
- Right to request a correction of false or inaccurate data.
- Right to request a copy of your personal data in an electronic format.
- Right to request rectification or erasure of your data.
- Right to request the third parties that we share your data with.
- Right to lodge a complaint with the Nigerian Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
3. Storage of Your Personal Data
We are a fully-owned Nigerian company with all our operations and infrastructure in Nigeria. All your data that we collect are stored in Nigeria and in our cloud infrastructure with appropriate security measures.
4. Third Parties we Share Data With
4.1. Your personal data are shared with relevant partners including banking partners, payment providers, email services, and domain services to fulfill our obligations.
4.2. Due to the possibility of changing specific providers, you can reach out to us at any time to request the current list of specific providers.
5. Principles Guiding Data Collection
The following principles guide our processing in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023:
- Fair, lawful, and transparent processing.
- Purpose limitation: data is collected for specific, explicit purposes.
- Data minimization: we only collect what is adequate and necessary.
- Accuracy: we ensure data is accurate and complete.
- Security: we implement industry-standard encryption and access controls.
6. Your Consent and Withdrawal
6.1. You give us clear and unequivocal consent to process the personal data we collect from you.

6.3. Withdrawal of consent will prevent us from being able to fulfill our obligations to you.
7. International Data Transfers
If we are required to transfer your data outside Nigeria, we will abide by the provisions of the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, ensuring that such parties have an adequate level of protection.
8. Personal Data of Children
We do not collect or process data of individuals under 18. If you are under 18 and desire to use our platform, you must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
10. Retention of Your Personal Data
We retain your data for as long as necessary. Specifically, we retain data for three (3) years after your last active use or six (6) years after a contractual agreement ends.
11. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will take immediate steps and notify you and the NDPC immediately.
